Suicide Prevention training: Sept 9 2024 at Gitanjali Senior School, Begumpet
Dr. Diana Monteiro did a suicide prevention training with Gitanjali Senior School teachers on Sept 9 2024. The teachers participated and interacted with the team and learned suicide prevention skills enthusiastically.
The HAP TEAM enjoyed the experience thoroughly and love that a school system was willing to allow its teachers to be trained on such an important topic. We never have schools be as open so was really a very positive and gratifying experience for us.
The feedback received was that the session was very good and concise and to the point and they enjoyed the interactive nature of the talk. We offered these free trainings as a part of our duty as psychologists for World Suicide Prevention Day on Sept 10th!

The feedback was that -they didn't expect to laugh at all with such a somber topic, but they thoroughly enjoyed laughing a lot and learning a lot. We were well received and appreciated.
Dr. Diana did a session at St. Mary's Degree College on Aug 31st on behalf on the YWCA of Secunderabad as part of their MOU with the college. It was called Honest Conversations and was for young women and about relevant issues they experience. Discussed patriarchy, gender roles, consent, saying no and other sensitive and important topics for young women to know
